A very cool tube for audio, I have numerous hours + obviously a substantial $$ investment. Please keep in mind, this is not your typical run of the mill amp, it is unique featuring a different tone. The little 2E26 loves pedals, drive and hungers for push/heating the elements. Treat it with love. Please be nice if making offers.

I have a old U.S. Army radio transmitter with three 2E26 tubes in it along with ten micro tubes and two 3B4 seven pin tubes. It looks like an aircraft radio transmitter and is for 152-174 mhz. It is in pristine new condition and is dated 1953. I too wondered about using 2E26 tubes in a low powered amplifier but not the ones in the transmitter.

So, a 2E26 was also used in the final amplifier stage. The result was an output between 12-watts and 15-watts. The voltages, supplied by various Motorola power supplies, was well within the range of those for the 2E26 so no modification was needed. For receiving, we used Motorola Sensicon "A" receivers with the loaded cavity front ends.

AF4K's 6CL6 - 2E26 HOMEBREW TRANSMITTER. Jan 3 2004. As seen here, the rig was still under construction! The power supply uses a mains transformer from an old Bogen P.A. amplifier. Yes, rusty but I might paint it some pretty color, ha! The full wave diode rectifier provides it with an unloaded B+ voltage of about 525V.
