Meet the 5687. The 5687 is a double triode wich was designed as a general purpose tube. Both triode systems are identical and are of the medium mu variety. The 9 pin base is shown on the left. The heater has a center tap which allows both 6.3V and 12.6V operation. When the heater voltage is applied to pins 4 and 5 it consumes 450mA at 12.6V.
