Kicked it on to ight after replacing the audio gain pot and listened to a station rebroadcasting the lone ranger episodes lol It definitely widens the pass band and clarifies the incoming signal. But makes the meter dead as a door nail. Now I've got to figure out This other mod.....

The 75A-4 has only mechanical filters and the "standard" filter that it came with has a 3.1 kHz bandwidth. There are 2 sockets in the 75A-4 for additional filters. The CW and AM filters are expensive options. The 75A-3 came with a 3.1 kHz mechanical filter with a space for an additional filter and the 75A-3 retains the crystal filter.
