I have my HD 7970 vid HDMI to my Yamaha RX-A1010 receiver, the sound keeps coming on and off, and the signal to the amp seems to be going on and off, video seems fine, I had no such problems with the exact same setup with Nvidia card or the HD4000 IGPU on my CPU.
