I was running XP for the past 5 years with no audio distortion problems. I installed Windows 7 and now the audio becomes distorted, like it is clipped in bit rate. The drivers for the Realtek AC'97 is v6.0.1.6293 from 9/16/2008 installed from windows update. I have tested the audio with head phones and speakers with the same effect.
