I should also have said, Intel (R) Display Audio is the only driver displayed in Device Manager - no sign of Realtek HD Audio Manager. I guess that is the problem. I can find Realtek on Acer drivers page and have downloaded but am uncertain how to install. It just comes in a zipped file with no obvious sign of how to run.

Its 4yrs old. Around 1 and half year back i instaled WINDOWs 7 in it . From that time the no audio output is there in it. I tried alot to fix this problem. Manytimes downloaded different audio drivers and downloaded many drivers from ACEr website also .. But it dint work out. Its showng "NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE is INSTALLED".

My acer aspire 4520 have no sound. I'm tried to install driver from www.realtek.com but still no sound.
