I recently purchased an ACER Aspire V3-572PG computer and when hooking it up to my receiver, or TV, via HDMI I cannot get audio to play. I have tried going into Control Panel >> Sounds and setting HDMI as default but it seems that the system does not even recognize that the HDMI is plugged in. .. at least not the audio component, as the video is working fine.

The sound also comes back on if I unplug the HDMI cable then plug it back in. Again, this is the second Acer Aspire TC-855 desktop to do this. I know there is nothing wrong with my T.V. or my HDMI cable. If I watch a video, the sound comes through without any problem as long as there isn't a 13+ second pause in audio output.
