Hello, my laptop is a acer aspire 5 a515-51g and i cant seem to get audio over HDMI working. It just doesn't show up anywhere as an audio output device. The video is fine but the audio isn't showing up. The weird thing is that when i boot into Ubuntu from a USB drive it works without issues plug and play.

I recently purchased an ACER Aspire V3-572PG computer and when hooking it up to my receiver, or TV, via HDMI I cannot get audio to play. I have tried going into Control Panel >> Sounds and setting HDMI as default but it seems that the system does not even recognize that the HDMI is plugged in. .. at least not the audio component, as the video is working fine.
