1- Make sure there is no conflict with your audio driver in Windows "Device Manager", and audio is working with other apps. 2- Remove all Audition installations from Applications. 3- Copy the installation folder / CD to the Desktop. Call the folder "Adobe Audition". 4- Run "Audition 3.0 Setup.exe" to install the file.

Have to say that the answer to this generally is to right-click on the desktop icon, and select 'run as administrator'. There are potentially other installation issues too, and the answers to them (at least potentially) can be found in this thread.

Other than reinstalling Adobe Audition and enabling Onboard audio I am out of ideas. My thoughts are that perhaps you can get into Adobe and then once in the program select the Sound Blaster as the audio device. I am not sure if either of these will work or if there is a better solution so I am allowing you to have a second opinion.
