I upgraded from Audioengine A5 to Aktimate Micro. I have also owned Swan speakers. I would take Aktimate over Swan over Audioengine in a heart beat. (Swan H5 and other studio monitors excluded). I have also listened to Bose Companion 5 in a shop. It is clearer and more articulate than Audioengine A5.

Tempting to get the Aktimate Mini's or Swan H4 as my next upgrade. But must resist splashing out around $500-$550. Still don't know which is the better choice. My current Audioengine A2's are doing well so far. Never ever going back to Logitech that's for sure.

As far as sound goes, it is a step down …
