Whenever you use front-panel audio jacks, you always introduce another element in the mix that can screw up your signal path. It doesn't matter how nice your case is (Antec 900 is a great case btw), you always risk introducing noise to your clean audio signal. It's good practice to NOT use front panel jacks in general.

The antec 900 has a wire to connect the front panel audio to the motherboard using either "HD audio" or "ac97'". The problem is that with the new wire layout the "HD audio" won't reach that port I pictured above, I can just barely reach the ac97, so I have to figure out a way to make it longer using like an extension wire or something.
