Audioholic Ninja. Sep 21, 2007. #5. I had a chance to hear a couple of Orbs. Great speakers overall. I feel the Gallo's are a tad better and cost a tad more, but can't go wrong either way it seems. Pretty amazing the sound that comes out of these small things.
Orb Audio vs. Anthony Gallo...anyone? | AVS Forum

Hi Dreamon72, I've just bought a set of orbs and wanted to see if I could use the Gallo ceiling mounts for the rear surround speakers. The specs said the orbs were 4 3/16" diameter vs 4" for the Anthony gallo micros so thought the would only be 5mm in difference and I could bore them out a bit.
Please Help! ORB Mod2 vs. Gallo A Diva Ti, for a 5.1 ...

Much better than the bigger speakers they replaced. As for the direct comparison between the Orbs and the Gallos, I've only heard the A'Divas vs. the Mod2 and Mod1 and I liked both Orbs better. They just have a clearer sound and better imaging. Can't say about the A'Diva Ti, but I'd save the $$.
Gallo Micro Nucleus vs. Orb Mod1... opinions anyone ...

There isn't a Gallo dealer within driving distance from me, otherwise I think I'd take my own advice. I currently have a mod2 system for my fronts. They are very detailed speakers and integrate well with the super8 sub. I wouldn't suggest either of the speakers without the matching sub. Hope this helps and good luck in your search.

Anthony Gallo Acoustics, aka “Round Sound”, has been making metal spheres sing for some time now, and to considerable acclaim. I spent two hours, one Fall day some years ago in the now-defunct Sound Images in Northern VA, listening to Reference 3.1 loudspeakers driven by a Conrad-Johnson solid state amp and being utterly captivated.

I have a pair of Orb Audio Mod1's, designed by the same dude as the Gallo Micro's--he left Anthony Gallo Acoustics to start Orb Audio. They are *beautiful* looking speakers and sound pretty sweet too! They do have 3" drivers, though, and would benefit from a sub. Luckily, Orb Audio sells some smallish subs that I suppose work very well with them.

Anthony Gallo Acoustics Due vs ... - Audiogon Marketplace

10-30-2003 4:49am. Edit. Delete. What I mean is that Totem speakers are usually very good as it's Canadian high-end and offers a better value. The Gallo Due's are $600 a piece so the Totem's are $200 a piece which is cheaper and does down to 57hz as it uses a 4" woofer and a 1" titanium tweeter. The Gallo Due has some specs that are out of sync ...
