Another issue with using Apple Cinema displays on Windows is that these monitors don't have any external controls, so there's no way to adjust brightness. Since the 8.1 upgrade i have been having issues with my 24" Apple cinema display. While i have no problems palying audio through speakers connected to the headphone jack on the computer (not display), i cannot get anything from the built in speakers on the display.
