Here's the problem: When somebody calls me there is no issue. But on outgoing calls there is no sound on my phone, not through my headphones, speakers or earpiece. I get no dialing sound, and when I'm playing music it doesn't even pause. The call goes through but then the person neither the person I'm calling nor I hear any sound.

You can demo this to the Apple tech but I'm sure it's a software issue so hopefully they can fast track it. 1) Use Siri. Raise to speak or home button press. Doesn't seem to matter. When Siri is done answering you, press the home button. 2) Make a call. If its acting up, you will have no audio from the handset until you toggle the speaker phone button.
