Basically, whatever I do I cannot get 5.1 surround sound to output from ATV. I can plug my Mac Book Pro via HDMI into the same sound system and get 5.1 surround sound output - so that works fine and my Audio file is fine! As soon as I use ATV3 I can only get 2.0 sound. Using iTunes or AirPlay makes no difference.
