Question: Q: No Sharp Aquos Digital Audio Out I am using HDMI to connect my ATV to my Sharp Aquos LC-32GP1U. Unlike other devices that are connected to this TV using HDMI (DVD player, DirecTV satellite receiver) the audio signal from the ATV is not being passed through to the TVs digital audio output.

The Sharp Aquos TV does not support HDMI ARC. When connected with just the HDMI cable the TV showed a volume control for the soundbar, but there was no sound. Once I connected the optical audio cable I was able receive audio and control it with the TV remote.

I mean sometimes it seems slightly better for no apparent reason but most often it seems slightly out of sync. I have turned off the Aquos Link and tried using the TV's audio and again it sees like sometimes it's better but other times is seems out of sync. So nothing I've tested really has shown and conclusive results of improvement or change.
