Diamond Audio subs are the best I have ever ran across for sound quality and loudness. The M5 series subs are identical to the M6 subs in ever respect except for the fact that Diamond Audio realized they could put twice the power to the sub. The physical attributes are a little different as well with the M5 having the "dimples".

I would say the new Diamond stuff is decent, but nothing special. They have changed a lot in the past few years. The president of Diamond Audio is now involved with Rockford Fosgate, which you are beginning to see in both company's new lines. Its definitely still decent gear, just not the same as it was in the beginning.

4,851 Posts. #7 · Apr 23, 2010 (Edited) i have a diamond audio d6 12 and d6 components they sound good i have had this sub for like 5 years now and never had any problems. when i had a lot of power going to it i got stopped a lot and people would ask how many subs i had they were shocked to only see one.

The d9 and d6 subwoofers are a very good SQ sub. I am selling my Diamond D6 however, because I want something a little quieter. I have had a few Diamond subs and they all have a bit more motor noise than I'd like. Either way, they are great for the price. I've never heard anything lower than the D6 line.
