Uninstall and reinstall audio driver (Realtek) given by Asus. Check if the audio was enabled in the bios (yes, it is). New19 Oct 2009#1. Onboard Audio not working. I'm using an ASUS M3A76-CM, which has onboard VIA HD audio. I was running Windows XP and it worked just fine, Windows detected the drivers, and my headphones plugged into the back worked great for audio/mic. After upgrading, even with the most recent drivers (v.7.3 and 7.4) nothing works.
