I also have the P5N E-SLI board and just went to Win 7 and do not have issues with the sound. Try removing the current driver and let Win 7 install one on it's own, if that doesn't work I think it is likely you have another issue.

I've got no bloody sound!!! I've got the ASUS P5N-E SLi Motherboard, which uses RealTek onboard audio chipsets. I've done numerous searches but can't seem to resolve the issue that A LOT of people seem to have. Basically, Windows just won't recognize that I've got an audio device installed.
