Hoping someone out there has encountered similar problems with this card.. Sapphire 3450 arrived today. connected to my hdtv via dvi->hdmi cable from monoprice. no audio. updated to latest catalyst and realtek's hd audio drivers.. no longer have an audio device detected, but ati HD rear audio turns into ATi HDMI audio.

To get audio over HDMI or DVI-HDMI with adapter on ATI cards you need something from the HD 2xxx series and up. From what I can find none of the FireGL cards based on the same chipset as the regular desktop that do allow audio (done via a Realtek audio chip on the video card), have the necessary audio chip on them.
