Audio is cutting/dropping every x seconds for 1 second. It is happing with all sounds (in movie/netflix/music) Radeon drivers are on the latest package version 19.12.3. I am using the hdmi output. My MB is asus prime pro x570 running the latest bios v 1405. As a test I lowered PCIe version to gen3 instead f gen 4, this did not solve the problem.

Only about 3 times in the couple of years I've had my receiver has this happened. Just for a split second, the audio will drop out and the indicator on the receiver will "flick". Sort of like the receiver is looking for a source of audio. Meanwhile, the video will keep going. I'm thinking that it's a cable problem.

Hey all, got a weird driver issue. Just installed the 5700, and with 19.7.5 drivers, I am getting audio drop out near constantly to the point where I just can't use sound out from HDMI. The audio is caused by what appeared to be DPC latency / ISR execution time. Spikes in DPC latency correlate with sound dropping / cracking.

If you connect HDMI cable from your source player, to your screen there is no way to then route the audio to your AV amplifier, as HDMI is a point-to-point connection.
