Sir, right now my objective is to play audio from ATmega32 using PWM and a 2Watts 8 ohms Speaker. I followed the tutorial mentioned above, but was not able achieve the desired audio. i have used an RC Filter circuit. R=470ohms, C=0.1Microfarad therefore Fc = 3.386KHz. but i am observing some hissing sound at the speaker end.

I am having the same problem. The demo program from ASF creates this PWM_0 but I have no idea at all where that gets mapped to a pin. In the code, all I see is: pwm_set_parameters(&PWM_0, 10000, 5000); pwm_enable(&PWM_0); and PWM_0 is first defined in driver_init.c: struct pwm_descriptor PWM_0; and if I follow pwm_descriptor, I get to hpl_pwm.h:

Jul 17, 2011. #1. Hi everyone, I found a circuit which convert PWM into audio signal. First they used 2 cascade low pass filter and high pass filter, then LM386 audio amplifier with RC. Could anyone please explain in more detail about the circuit ? As I know, the first bandpass filter is used to attenuate the PWM.
