You can select phono or line input via the audio 4 control panel, you'd set it to line to receive timecode via your CDJ-400's. Timecode control works fine with the audio 4 (same as with the 8), provided you have Traktor Scratch Pro or Traktor Scratch Duo (if you just own Traktor Pro, it won't work).
