The 1177A seems to be quite a bit more $ than the Shin-kin, and the only advantage it offers is the auto-sensing. The extra coax inputs aren't of interest, the simultaneous optical/coax (i.e. 2) outputs could come in handy. But that's not unique to the 1177A...
