I downloaded Quicktime and get the same result (audio, but no video). Help is greatly apprecated. Windows Media Player wont play .MOV Files because it does not support this .mov CODEC. You need to convert the .MOV files to a CODEC that windows Media Player supports. Link to supported Windows Media Player 12 and the CODECS that it supports.

I also use Windows Media Center on all of my Windows 7 machines to watch TV from my HDHomeRun Prime TV Tuner. On this Windows 8 machine, when I try to watch live TV, I get the same problem of only audio and no video. Again, using VLC, I can see and hear the TV Tuner feeds just fine.
