Pop in the cd, turn down the volume, check for music, than crank it. Let us know. If your reciever can decode DTS, and the "CD" is dts, and the ps3 supports DTS (Which it does), and your settings are correct (as per above) you should have no trouble listening to 5.1 audio. Pop in blue man group and rock out.
