Unchecking this option creates an open Track-At-Once CD. So that's why I asked how to choose DAO. As the audio CD was written in Track-At-Once mode, the buffers were flushed after every track instead of the whole CD being written in one smooth constant and gaps were inserted between each track. DAO mode does not have these issues.
