Try reinstalling Windows Media Player: Type Features in Start Search, open Turn Windows Features On or Off, under Media Features, uncheck Windows Media Player, click OK. Restart PC, then reverse the process to check WMP, OK, restart again to reinstall it.

Unless you have some corporate version of Windows 10 with restrictions of some sort. It is your Media player that does not play Audio CDs, these are Data discs not files. Mine shows correctly as in post #9 that is how File Explorer represents those CD Audio data Tracks with WMP as default. On my Laptop, with 5 listed Music players.

Try using CDBurnerXP to burn Audio CD's. On the link I gave you, click on "More download options" and pick a link next to "Default installer (Without OpenCandy)". Make sure you finalize the disc which is the default when burning Audio CD's. Also use CD-R's and not CD-RW's. If you still have problems try buying a different brand of blank discs.
