I am driving a tlc320aic23 audio codec via the spi interface using an FPGA. I have arranged the spi signals as per the data sheet, and configured registers 9,7 and 8. These set the following bits: R9 activate (bit 0) R7 16bit (default), 96KHz filter mode 3 (bits 1,0 == 11) R8: MCLK, USB (bit 0=1) so MCLK is 12MHz., device operates in slave mode.
