Ah right, well I'm using it atm and it seems to make my sound more balanced, whereas if I use entertainment/game mode for music I get bass that is sort of boingy, if that's a good way to describe it, hard to describe really, but its not a nice sound anyway, bass sounds cleaner in Audio Creation mode with Bit-Matched Playback enabled.

By that token, anything which is input through the analogue line-in jack or output through the analogue outs will get resampled unless the recording sampling rate matches the X-Fi chip's native sampling rate(s). As for using Audio Creation Mode (Bit-Matched Playback, specifically) with dvd movie playback, I don't know of any dvd playback media players other than Windows Media Player that has a built-in Graphic EQ. I use PowerDVD which kills Windows Media Player, so I'll still be using Entertainment Mode for dvd-movies.
