By the time I subscribed in 1977 (maybe issue #6 or #7) and then ordered back issues, they had already run out of issue #1 and were sending it photocopied on sheets of paper. I think the issue is pretty rare. #3. 2 I have actually seen the white cover version of issue one of TAS pop up on eBay from time to time.

Location: Newport Hills, WA. Very sorry to hear. Although I don't go along with all of his ideas, I thought Audio Critic provided a salutary contrarian alternative to the more wildly subjectivist hifi mags. A way out of the rabbit hole for some, and get back to music (at least, that was my takeaway.)
