Oct 23, 2003. #1. this is a review on a diamon tdx 12" dual 2 ohm sub. i have the sub in a sealed enclosure (1.5cubic feet before displacement), running on a 1200 watt amp. this sub sounds great. i haven't thoroughly heard expensive subs like JL W7's to compare this woofer to (diamonds TDX is there highest woofer), but its definately a nice woofer.

I have the Diamond Audio TDX 12"; It is powered a Zapco 750. The 12" TDX beat the JL Audio 12" W7 sub by far! if your looking for solid bass and strong mids and even "highs" from a sub go with the TDX and a Zapco. The JLw7 may hit hard with a few song but you will only get ok mids. And no highs. But to be fair the 12" w7 I heard was in a huge box.

Diamond Audio TDX 12D4 Breakin? - I'm about to fire up a diamond audio tdx 12d4 subwoofer, powered by an alpine m1000. the sub is in a 1.4 cubic foot box. I've heard suggestions for breaking in subs before, would this sub benefit from being broken in somehow? The manual doesn't say anything about it
