Okay, the reason it's showing Dummy Output is the sound card is presently set for input only. I would suggest you install PulseAudio Volume Control (pavucontrol) and on the Configuration tab, see if any of the HDMI options do not say unplugged. If so, choose it, then plug the device back into the monitor and it should work.
