The L2 is quiter a nice Pre in stock form with its valve regulated psu PIO coupling caps & two levels of gain. It also uses the Noble volume & balance pots. PvW's psu mod will have helped too so provided the price is reasonable it'd be a good buy. NB it is slightly wider than a standard 430mm item so check it'll fit your rack!

It is the best Pre I have heard in my system, and got the better of other, more expensive Pres.
