Bias on one of right channel's Valves is builds up after the Amp been turned off. Audible low frequency hum on that channel while is on.

I bought an Audio Institute VR-70E (Affordable Valve Company ) off a wammer ages ago, and I've forgotten how to check and adjust the biasing..... I can remember to measure ad adjust the mV reading from the chassis to the test point next to each valve, but cannot remember what reading I should be adjusting to!

Hi Kai, I have used a pair of new EI ecf82. The amp sounded indeed a lot better , but one channel was (considerably) louder, and some 20 seconds after I powered it up, I heard (every time) a loud crack in a speaker, and saw the light in the corresponding ecf82 light up .Now the standard tubes are in again, but I'll measure the EI's (BTB-elektronik didn't want to match the tubes ) with a tube ...
