My sound lags alot, I keep having to power cycle the receiver to get it working at all, once it works - it's super slow, stuck "Connecting" when I cast audio to it for like 1-2 minutes before it even starts playing. Once playing, sometimes it works fine, other days it lags, stutters, just behaves all strange.

The master audio is lagging behind the slave unit's audio. By fiddling with things, I've noticed if I set the Onkyo equalizer setting to be "direct", then there is no lag between speakers/recievers. When I use any equalizer settings besides "direct" the speakers connected to the Yamaha (slave unit) will lead the audio coming from the Onkyo speakers.

If you want to "delay" the audio below 0ms, you're going to have to install a flux capacitor on your Onkyo first. Joking aside, if the audio is too fast, that means you have to delay your audio more, not less. That's usually the case where the display is laggy and the audio is already outputted before the TV can show the image.

On my Roku express the audio lags behind the visual on all channels. Sometimes it starts ok and there is no lagging. If I pause the program the lagging starts.
