iMac Line-Input for audio. I've noticed my 2017 iMac doesn't have a line-in for audio. I've read I can use the headset jack as a line-in for the audio by changing the settings on the sound input, but the only option available is the built in microphone. There is no option to change input to line-in.

The Late 2012 27" iMac does not appear to have line-in, just a headphone port. I'm not sure which model you have, but if the 27" doesn't have it, I doubt the smaller ones will. You can double-check by selecting About This Mac from the Apple menu. Then click the More Info button and then the System Report... button. Next, click on Audio to the left.
