Assuming, there is no easy way to monitor the sound that is being recorded , directly from the 70D, while it's being recorded... What exactly is the best way to deal with this issue? Do you record the sound externally, with some way to monitor the sound outside of the camera, then add the sound back in during post processing? or what?
