It strikes me that xbmc already has a very good audio player; would it make sense to take the audio functionality out of the podcatcher and use it simply to download podcasts to a directory of the user's choice?

Besides this, XBMC is working just fine (only audio podcatcher plugin refuses to play any podcasts - lists podcast titles but will not go any further) Seems odd, my previous install worked perfectly (both podcaster and shutdown).
