Re: Audio Punch In Tool. we had the same trouble with that particular Avid/Adrenaline version lots of times ( was of course before we swiched to the DX hardware ). The only thing that worked was a couple ( not only one or two ) of complete ( means power off ) restarts, sometimes 8 to 10 times ( including Adrenaline & Deck ).

The audio punch in tool was initially made to record audio from the legacy avid adrenaline I/O breakout box. I don't think there has been much development on it since then. It limits you to just 2 channels, and 4 channels of simultaneous recording with a compatible I/O box.
