In my view, the D240 is one of the best ARC solid state amplifiers: the 100.2, D130, D200/300/400 and the D240 are my favourites. It’s been awhile since I heard a D240, and don’t know that I an comment on a MKII as compared to MKI, but I remember the D240 as smooth and nimble and quite neutral.
