What is the best audio sampling frequency - LmK Music ...
https://lmkprod.com/best-audio-sampling-frequency/
The sampling frequency is how many snapshot of an audio signal your recording device takes during one second. Simple as that. Example : 44.1 Khz means that your device takes 44.100 snapshots (sample) of your incoming audio signal.
What is Sampling Frequency? | Home Brew Audio
https://www.homebrewaudio.com/11417/what-is-sampling-frequency/
Knowing that the high end of human hearing stops at around 20 kHz, and that a little wiggle room is nice to have, we know why 44.1 kHz is used for most playback applications. Sampling Frequencies Above 44.1 Of course there are …

How do you calculate sampling frequency?
https://askinglot.com/how-do-you-calculate-sampling-frequency
The minimum sampling rate is often called the Nyquist rate. For example, the minimum sampling rate for a telephone speech signal (assumed low-pass filtered at 4 kHz) should be 8 KHz (or 8000 samples per second), while the minimum sampling rate for an audio CD signal with frequencies up to 22 KHz should be 44KHz.

sample rate - Sampling frequency Vs. Audio Frequency ...

On the low pitched sound you can see that it samples the bottom, the middle and the top of the wave. If you draw a line through these points you will get a line that is almost the same. If you use 44.1 kHz it will be able to reproduce everything from 0 Hz (20 Hz) to 20 000 Hz, which is what we are able to hear.
Understanding Audio Quality: Bit Rate, Sample Rate ...
https://micropyramid.com/blog/understanding-audio-quality-bit-rate-sample-rate/
The sample rate is measured in hertz (Hz). According to Nyquist Sampling theorem the sampling frequency to produce the exact original waveform should be double the original frequency of the signal. The human hearing bandwidth is 20Hz-20kHz, the audio sampled can be at the rate above 40kHz. (Usually 44.1KHz is preferred).
Where to change Windows sampling rate? Is it hidden Solved ...

Quexos said: It is the most recent 4.36.5-612 version, and yes it is ASIO. It adds an ASIO control panel with options to set Hz and buffer size. I set it to 48000 and 256, then make in the windows settings 16 bit 48000, or whatever matches the ASIO control panel. But I have tried buffers from 128-512 and bit rates of 16/44.100, 16/48000, 24/48000.
Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, or higher? - Ableton Forum

I've recently swtiched to 24bit as well but keeping at 44.1 sample rate. I've also heard that since almost all music players and consumer soundcards are based around 44.1, changing to 48 or 96 would cause odd mathmatical rounding, and choosing 88.2 or another clean multiple of 44.1 would be a wiser choice, if you chose to change the sample rate.
