If I go to try to record myself using the microphone, or I go to use Skype the audio will sound fast and squeaky. It sounds like one of the chipmunks or like I've consumed helium! I'm not sure what you're talking about "conpress the track", but if your audio sounds like a chipmunk your sample rate may not be set to the same rate in Sonar and your interface/soundcard. Set them both the same whether it be 44.1khz, 48khz, etc...or it is possible you have a pitch shifting plugin enabled on the track.
