    I'm not sure what you're talking about "conpress the track", but if your audio sounds like a chipmunk your sample rate may not be set to the same rate in Sonar and your interface/soundcard. Set them both the same whether it be 44.1khz, 48khz, etc...or it is possible you have a pitch shifting plugin enabled on the track.
