I picked up a pair of 18 inch Audiosphere AR18AW, 8 ohm subwoofers back in the 80`s at a shop on Queen Street in downtown Toronto. I cannot find the TS parameters or even comments on this driver on the web. They are not expensive (I overpaid retail about $150 each), but they have very low distortion and efficiency seems quite high.

BTW, my computer's subwoofer is a tiny 4.5" Boston Acoustics BA635 that I picked up at a thrift store. It continues to amaze me with its output which is well equalized down to a cutoff at 60Hz. It has it's own amplifier, plus two stereo outputs that i paired up with the PE "cube speaker" buyouts.

on another note Audiosphere also used to manufacture speakers for 'Electrohome' I can verify this by having had multiple sets of these speakers, including my grand parents still having a set. they have 10" poly woofer, foam surround, 5" mid and 1" soft cloth dome tweeters all stamped audosphere on the back.
