Audio Technica AT440MLA Cartridge Review | Best Turntables

    http://best-turntables.com/audio-technica-at440mla-cartridge-review/
The Audio Technica AT440MLA cartridge is an audiophile budget cartridge that packs a huge punch for value. ‘Audiophile’ and ‘budget’ very rarely belong in the same sentence. Cartridge manufacturers over the last decade or so appear to have made an effort to make turntable accessorising a far more affordable venture.

Audio Technica AT-440MLa question- Vinyl Engine

Me, I actually run a Grado Gold with the Longhorn mod and prefer it overall vs. the 440mla. The 440mla tracks very well, and is extremely detailed but it has an unnatural high frequency to my ears. As says, the Shure will have a more laid back sound without the extreme high frequency attenuation that the 440mla has to my ears.

Audio Technica also stated that the new materials would actually improve the cartridges performance. I had a 440ML for a while, and it was too bright in my system. I then replaced it with a Shure V15VxMR which I have had for several years now. Since I can't get styli at reasonable prices any more, I decided to try out the new AT-440MLa.

Re: AUDIO TECHNICA AT95E VS GRADO BLACK. I would try and balance the arm to zero (free float) with no tracking force. Put the anti-skate to zero and see if your arm is truly feel floating above the platter surface, straight up and down with no side movement. If you are sure the cart is properly alligned, then increase the tracking force to the ...

It sounds that well-resolved, rhythmically superb, tonally sophisticated and just plain right! The Audio-Technica AT95SA is among the “best buys” in reasonably priced MM cartridges, if not the best buy, but only if you carefully set SRA. Audiolad. In 2015 the Green is improved, with my Denon DB300F table (internally grounded), Vincent PHO-8 preamp, and there is no hum. I've used this for several years after tiring of the Audio Technica 440MLa and its piercing out of proportion highs. I highly recommend this for those who want audiophile quality, at a company set price of $95.
