The Audio Technica At4040 has a better,balanced overall sound on most sources. I think it's because of it's 2mm thick capsule membrane which is a new design from AT. Features I like the fact that it has a high pass 80hz filter and a -10db rolloff. Neither of these are offered on the Neumann TLM103 and Rode NTK,which incidentally cost more !
