ATH-M50xBT white noise/hiss? - Audio - Linus Tech Tips
https://linustechtips.com/topic/1130509-ath-m50xbt-white-noisehiss/
The most annoying thing is that after ~30 seconds of not playing audio the hiss would go away making it very apparent that there was indeed hissing before. I sent it in for a RMA thinking that it had to be a defective unit, but audio technica just got back to me saying that there was nothing wrong.
Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT review - SoundGuys

Anyone who liked the original ATH-M50 or the ATH-M50x will love the new ATH-M50xBT. The main thing that’s different is that it’s wireless—that’s it. Younger listeners will enjoy the Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT because of its somewhat bass-heavy sound, and overall high sound quality. This is a dramatic step-up from most popular models.

I own the Audio Technica ATH-M50's and I get a buzzing/crackling noise in the headphones. I went searching online to find out where the issue could be. Since I was getting some of the issue when I scroll up and down a webpage or switch tabs, etc. there were some people saying that the motherboard had trouble with audio and such.

The Audio-Technica ATH-M50x and the Philips SHP9500 are both very good headphones for fans of a neutral sound, but they use different enclosures, which changes a couple of things. The closed-back design of the Audio-Technica results in better noise isolation and punchier bass, but makes the headphones sound more closed-off.

I recently purchased a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones. Everywhere I've read and been referred to always mentioned them as being really solid under 200$ headphones. So I purchased them and when I went to plug them in and listen I have to admit I wasn't blown away from the audio quality.

Repairing ATH-M50xbt power button : audiotechnica
https://www.reddit.com/r/audiotechnica/comments/gfbx7m/repairing_athm50xbt_power_button/
Repairing ATH-M50xbt power button. Last night I noticed that the power button on headphone lost its ridgid click and just kind of slides now, which makes it unable to power on normally. It seems like there is a plastic piece that has come undon between the internal switch and the external plastic.
