The PS stands for "point source". These are from Ohio, when DA was an Audio Technica company. The 10s have 10" downward-firing woofers and come as mirrored pairs. Picked these up after getting my DA PS-10s (seen here). These came out in 1994, well after Design Acoustics was bought out by Audio Technica (which happened right when they released the PS-10), and it's evident the kind of cost cutting measures that AT started imposing on DA.
