Rubber band mod is a good one, or buying thicker pads also helps a lot. I put velour pads (I bought them from eBay) on my ATH-AD900x and it helped a lot preventing them from sliding down my head. You can also (carefully) change the headband shape to fit better.

I recommend u have a look at the a900x appreciation thread lots of good stuff there. I'm not sure about the rubber band mod. I'm thinking something a bit more drastic. I saw something on here somewhere & I can't find it now but somebody managed to fit a piece of cloth between the wings like the rubber band mod.
