The Audio-Technica ATH-W1000X, which was introduced in 2011, is not a celebrity-endorsed headphone, nor does it come in a rainbow of colors. The W1000X is at first a very bassy headphone. Before you adjust to it and it is allowed to settle in (this happened at around a hundred hours for me, YMMV) the bass is front and center. However, unlike other bassy headphones during burn-in, (DT770 and HD650) the W1000X is deep and tuneful.
